Oracle Recruiting (ORC) Help Centre

We are here to aid in reducing biases within your application process for smarter, faster, and fairer hiring. By redacting preselected parameters from CV’s within Oracle Recruiting, we enable reviewers to focus exclusively on information predictive of performance, leading to a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

Currently, our blind recruiting solution redacts information with an accuracy of 95%, and we are constantly working to improve our solution to make this number as high as possible. Unfortunately, however, sometimes redactions are unsuccessful, and therefore, we have created this guide to help you get back on track!

Common failures

  • The file size is greater than 2MB

  • The document has lots of graphic designs

  • The document is corrupted or encrypted

  • The document type is not supported

What to do if a document fails?

  • What if the file is not a PDF?

1.        PDF is MeVitae’s preferred and native redaction format.

2. Convert the unredacted file to a PDF.

3.        Upload the new file and click ‘Re-redact’.

  • What if the file size is larger than 2MB?

1.        Contact the candidate for a smaller file size version.

2.       Upload the new file and click ‘Re-redact’.

  • What if the file is corrupted?

1.        Contact the candidate for a smaller file size version.

2.       Upload the new file and click ‘Re-redact’.

We support a variety of document types including:

Retry Redaction

If a candidate’s resume fails to be redacted and the steps above are not applicable, follow these steps:

  1. Select ‘Attachments’ on the candidate’s profile.

  2. Select ‘List’ view (as seen in the first screenshot).

  3. Upload a new candidate document (as seen in the first screenshot).

  4. Ensure to delete the old document (as seen in the first screenshot).

  5. Go back to the candidate details and select ‘Re-redact’ as this tells the system there has been an update (as seen in the second screenshot).

  6. The MeVitae status will then change to ‘Retrying’, ‘In progress’ and then ‘Completed’ when it has been re-redacted.
