Catalyzing change: collaborative research with academic partners

Our scientists are dedicated to tackling the most intricate challenges in human decision-making through interdisciplinary approaches. Mevitae's collaborative research initiatives have a singular goal: shaping a future characterized by Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I). In partnership with esteemed institutions such as UCL, Oxford Computer Science, and the University of Exeter Business School, our projects explore pivotal domains including DE&I, Explainable AI for recruitment, and the repercussions of blind recruiting practices.

UCL CONA: Improving DE&I through network insights

The shape of our organisational networks and the positions we hold in them can greatly influence our perception of the workplace, and thus shape the way we behave, think and perform.

The DiversePath Project, hosted by UCL’s Centre for Organisational Network Analysis (CONA), has embarked on a journey to explore these networks and pioneer best practice for DE&I and employee wellbeing.

Oxford Computer Science department: recruiting with explainable AI

Blind recruiting is the first step in helping you make optimal hiring decisions, but the journey doesn’t end there.

Together with researchers from Oxford Computer Science, MeVitae has built an explainable AI tool that highlights candidates’ skills, helping you focus on the aspects that matter, and make optimal hiring decisions at speed.

Exeter BIG IDEAs project: blind recruiting

Does blind recruiting work best in certain areas of an organization, or as a blanket policy? What information should be redacted in order to make sure bias is not disadvantaging the top talent?

MeVitae has partnered with the BIG IDEAs project, hosted by the University of Exeter Business School, to understand best practices in blind recruiting through randomized controlled trials.

Organisations joining this study will have the unique opportunity of trialling our blind recruiting solution at minimal cost.

CV eye-tracking study. Where employers eyes look when reading CVs

MeVitae’s CV Eye-tracking study

In collaboration with Oxford University Physics Department, we conducted a study to try to measure the emotional responses of recruiters to different parts of CVs and then determine how these responses affect their recruitment decisions.

Employers / recruiters were asked to review and rate a variety of CVs. Coupled with eye-tracking technology, we tracked where they spent most of their attention over 10 seconds per resume.
