Why do we care?
Both human cognition and artificial intelligence are limited in their capacity and are, unfortunately, prone to making several biases. As a consequence of poorer decision making in the hiring process, organisations lack diversity, reducing overall performance and revenue.
Can this problem ever be fixed? While human biases can never be eliminated, the closest we currently have to a solution is Augmented Intelligence – a deep learning system capable of processing data (& lots of it!) just like humans, but free of distortions so that accurate, informed hiring decisions can be made, free of bias.
