The Role

As a Front End Developer you will play a pivotal role in advancing our platforms and solutions from Fairness Lens to our interventions. In this key position, you will leverage your expertise in Next.js, React, and TypeScript to develop responsive and robust user interfaces that enhance user engagement and functionality across all devices. Collaborate with our talented team of UX/UI designers and backend developers you will ensure seamless integration and superior performance of our solutions. This role offers the opportunity to challenge your skills in a dynamic environment, support innovative projects, and develop applications that make a difference. Responsibilities

• Technical Design and Implementation: Take an active role in crafting the technical architecture and detailed implementation plans for frontend projects. Collaborate with the development team to ensure designs are scalable, maintainable, and efficient.

• Code Reviews: Engage in the code review process, providing constructive feedback on pull requests (PRs) and responding to feedback on your own PRs. This will involve ensuring code quality and consistency across the development team.

• Frontend Development: Handle daily frontend development tasks, utilizing CSS and TypeScript with frameworks and libraries such as Next.js, React, and TSX. Ensure the technical feasibility and responsive implementation of UI/UX designs.

• Design Quality Assurance: Work closely with the design team to ensure that implementations are aligned with the intended designs. Participate in design QA sessions, discuss any potential issues, and effectively address any feedback to refine and perfect the user interface.

• Security Practices: Contribute to the development and adherence to best security practices during the design and coding phases. Ensure that all frontend code complies with established security policies, particularly in data handling and user interface processes.

• Automated Testing: Develop and implement automated tests using tools like Playwright to validate the functionality and reliability of the frontend code. This includes writing test cases for new features and maintaining tests for ongoing reliability.

• Collaborative Development: Work collaboratively with backend developers, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration and optimal function of all frontend components. Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and review meetings to stay aligned with team goals and timelines.

Skills and Experience

• Proficient in Front End Technologies: Command of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Experience with modern frameworks and libraries such as React, Next.js, and TypeScript is crucial.

• Experience with Responsive Design: Demonstrable skills in creating fluid and flexible layouts that work across different devices and screen sizes.

• Version Control/Git: Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, to manage changes to the source code.

• Testing and Debugging: Proficient in using tools and techniques for front end testing and debugging. Experience with testing frameworks such as Puppeteer and Playwright is beneficial.

• UI/UX Design Sensitivity: Good sense of design aesthetics and an understanding of user experience fundamentals. Ability to implement UI/UX designs with accuracy.
