The Role

We are looking for an NLP Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship provides a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience applying Machine Learning to diverse, real-world data. You will work closely with our AI Specialist to design and train brand-new models and improve existing ones.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and implement machine learning models, with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP).

• Design, test, and optimize models to analyse and interpret textual data.

• Apply statistical techniques to solve real-world problems.

• Explore and stay up to date with state-of-the-art advancements in machine learning and AI, particularly in language models and cognitive systems.

• Collaborate with experts and team members in a dynamic start-up environment.

• Adapt to evolving challenges and priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Skills and Experience

• Predicted or obtained 2:1 or equivalent in a technical degree such as Maths, Physics, or Computer Science.  

• Eligible to work in the UK.   

• Advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Basic knowledge of/experience in coding (Python) and Linux environment.

• Self-motivation and strong organizational skills to adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

• Excellent communication – written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.  

• Ability to explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical members of the team.

• Interest and knowledge of human behaviour and/or cognitive biases.
